Admin View

User Management Tab

The User Management tab is a central hub for all user-related management tasks, including editing user details, approving pending users, and changing Heads of Departments (HODs).

Editing User Information

Admins can update key details of existing users.

  1. Access the User Management Tab: Navigate to the Admin Panel and select User Management.
  2. Locate the User: Find the user you wish to edit from the list.
  3. Edit Details:
  4. Save Changes: Click Update to save the edited details or Cancel to discard changes.

Note: Editing user details directly affects the data stored in the application.

Approving Pending Users

Admins can review and approve users who have requested access to the application.

  1. Locate Pending Users: Pending users are shown with an Approve button beside their name.
  2. Approve Access:

Note: Only users with admin permissions can approve users.

Changing Heads of Departments (HODs)

Admins can update the assigned HOD for each department as needed.

  1. Locate the User’s Department: Find the department or user in the User Management list.
  2. Change HOD: If a department needs a new HOD:
  3. Save Changes: Click Update to confirm the new HOD assignment.

Tip: Ensure the user’s permissions align with the new HOD responsibilities.

Note: The Admin and HOD functionalities are currently very similar to meet user requirements, but can be adjusted in the future for a clearer division of responsibilities and improved workflow.
